Contact Us FAQ
What
is consignment?
Consignment is a great way to sell your vehicle. Instead of
putting an ad in the paper, or a for sale sign in your window, you
leave it at our lot. You don't have to take calls, answer emails,
or meet potential buyers. All you have to do is bring in your
vehicle with the title.
Why sell with consignment instead
of for sale by owner?
When you sell as an owner, you have to do all the work. You have
to take calls, or listen to messages, from all potential buyers.
You have to meet with people that have no interest in buying your
vehicle. They just want to "kick the tires." You also have
to make sure the title is filled out properly. Some new owners
never transfer the title, and you are still liable for the vehicle
until they do. I have heard of cars being abandoned years after a
sale, and the previous owner getting hit with the tow bill.
Selling through a dealer doesn't allow this to happen.
What do I need to drop off my
vehicle?
You need to have a clear title in hand. You will also need to
have license plates & insurance on the vehicle. If you do not
have plates or insurance, you can pay $50 per month to use our dealer
tag for test driving only.
What does it cost?
There is a drop off fee. This is 3% of your asking price ($150
max). There is a daily storage fee based on your asking
price. This fee can be waved with a 60 day contract. If you
don't want to leave your car here for 60 days, this rate starts at $1
per day. When your vehicle sells there is a 5% fee. These
fees cover a full detail, keeping gas in the vehicle, showing the car
with test drives, advertising, and all the paperwork. There are
no additional hidden fees that many others charge. Ask about our
church/non-profit program that is slightly different.
